With the recent growth of farmers markets across the nation and increased
awareness of the importance to Buy Fresh Buy Local, is your local farmers market
fulfilling its potential? The USDA recently awarded the Alabama Farmers Market
Authority (FMA) a grant to assist rural markets to maximize their efforts. FMA
will be conducting four educational workshops across the state assisting markets
in providing structure and organization, along with promotion activities needed
to increase consumer awareness of farmers markets.
